08/31/2026 Description Sets up food service, kitchen, or salad area facilities, equipment and utensils, under detailed instruction, in accordance with specific area needs; checks food temperatures and/or prepares areas for daily operations; may operate cooking or bakery equipment as assigned. May serve a range of hot or cold food items from counters and steam tables; adds relishes and garnishes according to instructions. Perform cashier duties and other duties as required. Perform cashier duties that include closing and balancing the register each day. Prepare or assist in the preparation of hot, cold, meat and vegetable dishes, beverages, salads, sandwiches, simple bakery items, salad dressings and/or other similar food items as appropriate to the position. Clean and maintain work areas including floors, facilities, utensils, and equipment. Collect and place garbage and trash in designated containers as appropriate to the area of operation. Serve food items to customers from counters and/or steam tables as appropriate to the position, in accordance with specific instructions and ensuring that appropriate portions are served. Wash pots, pans and other service ware ensuring sanitary handling, and organize and replace service ware to appropriate locations. Close and secure the cafeteria daily.
Salary:
$15.00 per hour.
Standard working hours:
6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.; Monday - Friday.
Start Date:
October 1, 2026.
Closing Date:
September 13, 2026, or open until filled. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED required, ServeSafe certification preferred but not required. Supplemental Information Official transcripts, including other documentation verifying all reported educational qualifications, are required. Unofficial transcripts will be accepted for application purposes. The successful candidate must provide official transcripts at his or her expense within thirty (30) days of being notified of selection.
