  • Full-time Monroe Residential Treatment Center for eating disorders Join our dynamic culinary team as a Cook/Food Service Worker, where your passion for food and dedication to excellent service will shine.
In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious meals and ensuring food safety standards are met. This p osition requires one year of food preparation experience in a Residential or Institution setting, preferable with eating disorders.
SERVESAFE
is a plus, but is required within 90 days of hire.
Schedule:
Wednesday 12:30-6:30 PM, Thursday, Friday and Saturday 6:30AM to 6:30PM
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and record food temperatures to ensure food safety. Prepare and cook a variety of meals following established recipes, menus, and dietary guidelines Handle food with care, maintaining proper food safety and sanitation standards at all times Rotate and store food supplies. Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, or other cooking equipment. Apportion and serve food to facility residents, families and employees as required by dietary menu Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas to ensure cleanliness and functional operation. Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, poultry and vegetables. Bake breads, rolls, or other pastries. Compile and maintain records of food use and spoilage. Report information to Lead Dietitian. Maintain safety standards regarding all aspects of the kitchen. Ability to follow dietary guidelines and the exchange model (preferred) Minimum Requirements Position requires one year of experience in a Residential or Institution setting, preferable with eating disorders.
