In this role, you will be responsible for preparing delicious smoothies, and a variety of food items while delivering exceptional customer service. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure smooth operations, food safety compliance, and a positive experience for every guest. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, retail math, and sales within a dynamic food industry setting. Responsibilities Prepare and serve smoothies and other food items with precision and care. Operate POS systems such as Square accurately and efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions, and offering product recommendations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations and serving counters. Manage cash handling duties with accuracy, including cash register operations and balancing at shift end. Ensure food safety standards are consistently followed by adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Assist in inventory management by monitoring supplies, restocking as needed. Qualifications Previous barista or food service experience is highly desirable, along with a passion for food service. Familiarity with POS systems is preferred. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests. Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques. Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and sales transactions. Experience in the food industry or café environment is a plus but not required; training will be provided to successful candidates.
