Cape Fear Boil Company is a locally owned seafood restaurant/caterer specializing in coastal seafood boils, serving the Cape Fear region. Our company was started by UNCW students and has been doing business in the area for 10 years now. www.capefearboilcompany.com
Job Overview:
Cape Fear Boil Company is seeking a reliable, hard-working Shop Staff member to join our team. This role includes preparing fresh ingredients, assembling our signature seafood steam pots, and assisting with catered events. Ideal candidates thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy hands-on work, and are comfortable interacting with customers at both the shop and off-site events.Responsibilities :
Assemble seafood steam pots according to company recipes and customer orders Prep and portion ingredients including seafood, sausage, corn, and potatoes Assist with prepping and organizing supplies for catered events Bartend and assist with service at catered events as needed Receive, organize, and track inventory, including Sysco deliveries Maintain cleanliness and organization of prep areas, equipment, and refrigeration Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines when handling raw seafood and perishable items Assist with packaging orders and preparing them for customer pickup Work efficiently during high-volume periods, especially during peak season Support team members with general shop and event duties as needeQualifications :
Previous kitchen, food prep, or bartending experience preferred but not required Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Comfortable interacting with customers in a friendly, professional manner Team-oriented with a positive attitude Ability to lift and carry up to 30-50 lbs Reliable and punctualSchedule:
