As a Busser/Back waiter, you are a critical part of the front-of-house team—ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly, the environment remains clean and inviting, and every guest feels welcome and valued. Core Responsibilities

• Take pride in maintaining a clean and well-organized dining room throughout your shift.
• Reset tables efficiently and thoroughly, ensuring they are guest-ready in minimal time.
• Support servers by pre-bussing tables, refilling water, clearing unneeded items, and delivering food promptly and accurately when needed.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of large parties and banquet-style arrangements.
• Remove bus tubs and deliver used dishes to the dishwashing area properly and safely.
• Keep all service areas stocked with clean silverware, glassware, napkins, and other essentials.
• Swiftly and safely respond to spills and accidents, ensuring guest and team safety using proper signage and procedures.
• Sweep and tidy outdoor and guest-facing areas to reflect the restaurant's high standards.
• Ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders from the kitchen to guest tables.
• Confirm that all dishes match the ticket, are properly garnished, and meet quality standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Coordinate with the kitchen expeditor and servers to prioritize and streamline food delivery during busy shifts.
• Maintain awareness of table numbers and guest locations to ensure prompt service.
• Provide guests with additional utensils, condiments, or sides as needed when delivering food.
• Handle guest questions or requests courteously and relay any concerns to the server or manager.
• Assist in clearing plates and resetting tables between courses or after meals, supporting the server team.
• Support the back-of-house team by communicating any delays or special requests effectively.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures to ensure the safe handling and delivery of meals.
• Demonstrate a team-oriented attitude by stepping into other support roles as necessary to maintain smooth operations. Teamwork & Communication
• Work collaboratively with servers, runners, hosts, and kitchen staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Proactively communicate delays or issues to your manager or the kitchen expediter.
• Step in to help with other responsibilities as needed to accommodate the needs of the guest and the team. Guest Experience & Hospitality
• Maintain a high level of enthusiasm and a welcoming presence in the dining room at all times.
• Monitor tables and anticipate guest needs by clearing used items and ensuring comfort before being asked.
• Deliver food when required with attention to plate presentation and accuracy, following proper service standards.
• Ensure the guest has everything they need before leaving the table. Training, Growth, & Expectations
• Show up for all shifts on time and in uniform as per Empire Eats standards.
• Stay up to date with training materials, including service protocols and sanitation policies.
• Demonstrate a commitment to learning and improving your service execution daily.
• Provide suggestions to your supervisor or GM regarding operational improvements or guest experience opportunities. Requirements
• Must be available full-time, including lunches and weekends.
• Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, lift up to 30 lbs, and move swiftly and safely through a busy environment.
• A strong sense of urgency, positive attitude, and willingness to support wherever needed.

MUST BE AVAILABLE FULL-TIME. LUNCHES AND WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED.
