Position Summary We are seeking dependable and energetic Service Assistants to support our front-of-house operations. This is a highly active restaurant position involving frequent walking, food running, table support, cleaning, and coordination with Servers and kitchen employees. Responsibilities Deliver food accurately and promptly from the kitchen to guest tables. Support Servers throughout the guest dining experience. Clear, clean, and reset tables efficiently. Refill water, sauces, side dishes, utensils, and other guest necessities. Carry dishes, trays, bus tubs, and restaurant supplies. Maintain clean and organized dining and service areas. Restock service stations throughout the shift. Communicate table needs and service issues promptly to Servers and managers. Learn table numbers, menu items, sauces, side dishes, and restaurant service procedures. Assist with opening, running, and closing duties. Follow food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety procedures. Experience & Qualifications Previous restaurant experience preferred but not required. Previous Asian restaurant experience is a plus. BBQ, Korean BBQ, Japanese BBQ, hot pot, food-running, bussing, or Server Assistant experience is a strong plus. Ability to learn table numbers and menu items quickly. Strong teamwork and work-related communication skills. Ability to follow instructions accurately and work with a sense of urgency. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Essential Functions & Physical Requirements The employee must be able to perform the essential functions of this position, with or without reasonable accommodation , including: Stand and walk for extended periods, including for the majority of a scheduled shift. Frequently move between the kitchen, dining room, service stations, and dishwashing areas. Frequently bend, reach, squat, twist, push, and pull. Regularly lift and carry dishes, trays, bus tubs, and restaurant supplies weighing up to approximately 30 pounds. Perform repetitive physical restaurant-service tasks throughout the shift. Safely work around hot food, liquids, wet floors, restaurant equipment, guests, and coworkers. Effectively communicate work-related information with Servers, kitchen employees, managers, and other team members. Maintain speed and accuracy during high-volume service periods. Compensation & Benefits This position pays $15.92 per hour plus tips . Actual tip income varies based on hours worked, shifts, sales, and applicable tip distribution practices.
