9:00 am-1:00pm Join Our Team at Bancroft Looking for a role where you can make a difference while maintaining a great work-life balance? Bancroft is seeking a dependable and team-oriented Utility Food Service Worker to support our school in Mountainside. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and values consistent daytime hours. Responsibilities Assist in the preparation and service of meals for students and persons served, ensuring all food meets established quality, nutrition, health, and safety standards. Prepare a variety of food items following menus and guidance from Food Services leadership, including salads, sandwiches, soups, starches, fruits, vegetables, and meats, while maintaining safe and sanitary practices. Set up and maintain serving areas by arranging trays, stocking food lines, and replenishing items as needed to ensure consistent availability throughout meal service. Review daily production schedules to determine food quantities and preparation needs, and gather the necessary ingredients, supplies, and equipment. Operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain a clean work environment by properly cleaning and sanitizing workstations, utensils, and tools in accordance with health and safety standards. Store food and leftovers appropriately, following proper food handling, storage, and refrigeration guidelines. Support the preparation and service of food for special events, including meetings, conferences, and other on-site functions. Maintain a high level of professionalism by demonstrating reliability, teamwork, respect, and a commitment to quality service at all times.
Qualifications Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of one year of prior experience in food preparation and serving.

Ability to perform food preparation and serving, following detailed instructions.
