Job Description
About the Position RCAO Child Care Center is seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to support our Cook in preparing and serving nutritious meals for children. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in cleanliness and organization, and enjoys being part of a team that supports young children. Responsibilities Assist the Cook with meal and snack preparation Gather and prepare ingredients for daily meals Portion and deliver meals and snacks to classrooms Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces and food preparation areas Maintain an organized kitchen and storage area Receive, unpack, and properly store food deliveries Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations Assist with inventory and supply organization Support the Cook with other kitchen-related duties as assigned Qualifications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and organized Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods Food service, kitchen, or childcare experience preferred but not required Ability to obtain required background clearances and comply with childcare licensing requirements What We Offer Consistent weekday schedule Supportive and family-oriented work environment Opportunity to make a positive impact on children's daily experiences Paid holidays and other benefits may be available based on eligibility
