Food Handler

Spectrum for Living is a New Jersey not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping adults with developmental disabilities reach their maximum potential. We provide high-quality housing and clinical services in state-of-the-art facilities and in the homes of families caring for a loved one with disabilities. We are currently seeking a Food Handler to join our team at the Rockleigh Supervised Apartments. The Food Handler plays a vital role in supporting the nutritional needs of our residents through the preparation, service, and safe handling of food.

Primary Functions:

Review individualized menu requirements developed by the dietitian Prepare meals, bagged lunches, snacks, and nutritional supplements Order and purchase food and necessary supplies as needed Handle and store food in compliance with established policies and safety guidelines Maintain kitchen equipment and ensure cleanliness of food preparation and storage areas in accordance with state and local health regulations

Qualifications:

Valid (non-probationary) NJ or NY driver's license High School Diploma or GED Prior experience in food service, including meal preparation, cooking, and serving Knowledge of dietary guidelines and food purchasing based on specific nutritional needs

Shift:

Monday - Friday | 11:00 AM - 7:00
