Busser/Runner Osteria Crescendo Westwood, NJ Job Details Part-time $6.05 an hour 6 hours ago Qualifications Teamwork Bussing Patience Stocking Full Job Description Job Description - Busser Heritage Hospitality Group Osteria Crescendo Summary The Busser plays an important supporting role in ensuring smooth front-of-house operations and creating an exceptional guest experience. Responsible for clearing tables, resetting dining areas, assisting servers, and maintaining cleanliness throughout service, the Busser helps ensure guests enjoy a seamless, comfortable, and welcoming environment. Key Responsibilities Guest Service & Hospitality Assist servers by promptly clearing used dishes, glassware, and utensils from tables. Reset tables quickly and neatly, ensuring proper table settings for the next guests. Support servers in delivering water, bread, or additional items as needed. Maintain awareness of guest needs and assist with small requests when appropriate. Operations & Teamwork Keep dining room, service stations, and server areas clean, organized, and stocked. Assist with replenishing and polishing silverware, glassware, and other service items. Collaborate closely with servers, bartenders, and hosts to maintain an efficient flow of service. Support food runners when necessary, by helping deliver dishes to tables. Standards & Compliance Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations. Maintain clean floors, bussing stations, and dining areas throughout service. Follow company standards for professionalism, efficiency, and guest interaction. Qualifications Previous bussing or hospitality experience preferred but not required; training provided. Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well under pressure. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Positive, professional demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction. Neat personal hygiene and presentation. Friendly and hospitable. Physical Demands Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Frequent lifting, bending, and carrying trays or bus tubs (up to 40 lbs). Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
