Assist with food handling and portioning, weighing ingredients accurately while adhering to dietary guidelines. Clean workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly to uphold cleanliness standards; perform deep cleaning tasks as scheduled. Support catering and banquet events by setting up serving stations, managing food presentation, and ensuring smooth service flow. Handle manual tasks such as weight handling in the workplace with proper ergonomic techniques to prevent injury. Maintain knowledge of wine pairing and basic culinary principles to enhance guest experience when applicable. Process orders efficiently using POS systems while managing cash transactions accurately. Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless service during busy periods or special events like banquets or catering functions. Skills Proven experience in food service environments, including restaurant or hospitality settings; fine dining experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety management practices. Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively; previous culinary or catering experience is advantageous. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests in person. Ability to follow detailed instructions for food handling, sanitation procedures, and dietary requirements. Basic math skills for measuring ingredients, calculating portions, and processing transactions accurately. Knowledge of wine pairing principles enhances guest interactions when applicable; barista or beverage service experience is beneficial. Experience with POS systems for order processing and cash handling; familiarity with restaurant operations is preferred. Ability to handle weight handling tasks safely within a fast-paced environment; physical stamina is essential. Previous banquet or catering experience demonstrates adaptability in diverse service settings. Strong teamwork orientation with excellent communication skills; flexibility to work various shifts including weekends or holidays as needed.
