The Substitute Food Service Worker assists in the preparation, serving, and cleanup of meals in the school cafeteria during the absence of regular staff. Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, following food safety guidelines, and ensuring efficient meal service to students and staff. This role supports the daily operations of the school nutrition program under the supervision of the food service manager.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with preparing and serving food to students and staff. Set up and break down serving areas and equipment. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures. Wash dishes, clean kitchen areas, and dispose of trash. Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications:
Ability to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods. Basic knowledge of food service operations and safety preferred. Reliability, flexibility, and ability to follow directions.
