Part-time, Full-time First Capital Poke Bar Position Summary:
Looking for 3 awesome people to be part of our small family at a fast-paced casual dining restaurant in Uptown Kingston. Primary duties consist of taking orders, preparing meals, packaging food items, and ringing up customer purchases. Secondary duties for this position include but are not limited to preparing food and ingredients, opening and closing the store, and maintaining cleanliness standards throughout.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Arrive to the scheduled shift on time. Exhibit a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders. Maintain a professional appearance and grooming standards in accordance with FCPB dress code expectations. Offer each guest a friendly greeting and a closing that wishes them a great day and sells a return visit. Demonstrate a complete understanding of menu and promotional items, and explains them to guests accurately. Use Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill. Collect payment from guests and make proper change. Prepare food neatly, according to formula, and in a timely manner. Check products and restock items to ensure a sufficient supply throughout the shift. Understand and adhere to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up. Perform detail cleaning duties, in addition to the daily cleaning duties in order to provide a clean and safe establishment for our guests Perform each duty with a sense of urgency. Lead by example and show great leadership, respect and team work with new and fellow Team Members. Maintain food cost by using proper utensils and procedures as trained Help maintain dishes by cleaning as needed and putting away any dry dishes in a timely manner. Safety should never be compromised. DO NOT take any unnecessary risks or shortcuts. Expectations of our Team Members Provide a pleasant and productive experience to every guest Engage each guest with a friendly smile and upbeat, high energy personality Be respectful, polite, and humble. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Help develop ideas and strategies to grow sales and serve more guests As a Floor Staff member (Full-time or Part-time) you earn $10 towards food for a 4 hour shift and $20 for any shift longer than 4 hours (must be used same day). We also have a credit card tip pool that you receive tip share from every week, typically no less than $5 per hour. But we also see upwards of $12 per hour worked received in tips for the week! It all depends on you and how great you make the experience!!! In addition to the food perks, we offer SET SCHEDULES and also APPROVE all advance "requests" off!! Some of the shifts available to work are 10am

  • Additional Job Duties
  • Oversee the execution of efficient restaurant operations.
  • Coordinate Front of House and Back of House operations during shifts to ensure maximized efficiency and communication across all departments.
  • Maintain high standards of production, productivity, quality and customer service.
  • Ensure cleaning schedules are completed for both Front of House and Back of House.
  • Ensure staff follow all health and safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensure procedures are followed to help maintain proper labor cost and food cost.
  • Follow up coaching and corrective action as needed.
  • Foster and develop a positive team culture filled with both fun and hard work, rally and motivate team to achieve its highest potential
  • Ensure weekly produce orders are made and proper inventory management.
  • Daily Produce checks.
  • Ensure all produce is received and put away in a timely manner.
  • Weekly inventory counts and ordering.
  • Weekly order receiving and stocking.
  • Ensure deliveries are being put away properly.
  • Ensure upkeep of prep for Poke and Grab&Go
  • Oversee the Training and Development of all Staff Members.
  • Ensure proper Money handling with Register, Cash Drops and Petty Cash.
  • Resolve and report any Cash Discrepancies to the Owner.
  • Resolve any customer concerns or issues
  • escalate to Owner as needed.
  • Manage and resolve any issues amongst Staff
  • escalate to Owner as needed.
  • Work with the Owner on Promotions and Marketing.
  • Work with the Owner to develop short-term and long-term growth plans and financial goals that align with overall strategy and operational plans
  • Notice gaps in guest experiences and put corrective plans in place.
  • Wage would be based upon experience, and does include tips on top of the hourly rate
