Position Overview:
The Cambria Hotel Lake Placid is seeking a candidate to join our successful team of hospitality professionals as a Banquet Captain . Job Responsibilities:
Manage assigned staff in accordance with hotel policies, assist in on-going training, supervision and evaluation of event staff. Maintain current knowledge of event and catering trends and cost-effective management. Conduct pre-event meetings with staff, including daily specials, reservation information and projected business. Participate in weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) Meetings Ensure smooth operation event by circulating regularly. Assist with Server and Bartender duties as needed.
Requirements:
Two years supervisory experience in Restaurant/Bar/Event operations preferred. Must be able to work a varying schedule including nights and week-ends. Possession of certificate, or willingness to become certified in "Tips" and "ServSafe" or other similar hospitality industry courses or ability to pass such course within six months of employment. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service skills and a commitment to providing an exceptional guest experience.
