The Allyn Lodge is a premier wedding and events venue in the heart of the Finger Lakes, just outside the charming village of Skaneateles, New York. The largest freestanding timber structure in the state, it features floor-to-ceiling windows and a deck with stunning views of a private pond and the surrounding landscape. Allyn Lodge is currently hiring for Full Time Banquet Setup The Banquet Setup Associate is responsible for preparing event spaces for weddings, meetings, conferences, banquets, and special events. This position ensures that all function rooms are set accurately, safely, and on time according to banquet event orders (BEOs). The ideal candidate is dependable, physically active, detail-oriented, and committed to providing exceptional service to both guests and fellow team members. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Set up banquet rooms according to Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including tables, chairs, linens, staging, dance floors, buffets, bars, podiums, and audiovisual equipment. Reset rooms between events efficiently while maintaining quality standards. Tear down event setups and return furniture and equipment to designated storage areas. Ensure banquet rooms and public areas are clean, organized, and presentation-ready before, during, and after events. Assist banquet servers as needed during events with beverage stations, buffet replenishment, and guest requests. Safely transport tables, chairs, staging, and other banquet equipment. Perform routine inspections of banquet furniture and equipment; report maintenance or safety concerns promptly. Work closely with the Banquet Manager, Event Coordinators, and Culinary Team to ensure seamless event execution. Follow all company safety, sanitation, and workplace policies. Maintain storage rooms in an organized and clean condition. Assist with holiday events, outdoor functions, and special projects as assigned. Qualifications Previous banquet, hospitality, restaurant, or event setup experience is preferred but not required. Ability to follow written banquet event orders and verbal instructions. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Positive attitude and professional appearance. Ability to work independently and efficiently under time constraints. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, and reach for extended periods. Frequent pushing and pulling of banquet carts and equipment. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and overtime as business demands.
