Job Description

Job Summary Under the direct supervision of the Food Service Supervisor this position promotes meal assistance to patients and residents on a daily basis. The Food Service Worker II will assist with meal selections, in the assembly and delivery of meals and food products for hospital patients, residents and visitors. Core Job Responsibilities Maintain safe food handling using clean as you go procedures Assist patient with any need to their tray, i.e. opening of product Accurately serves patient's in accordance with their diet prescription Communicates patient's concerns with the clinical dietitian Stock unit kitchens Perform other duties as required Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience preferred. High School students accepted.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Typical work hazards associated with a kitchen such as but not limited to using sharp utensils and cutting machines, hot items such as water, steam, ovens, burners, etc. and working with chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing. Requires prolonged standing, walking, or other constant physical movements on a routine basis. Varied stress levels due to periodic or cyclic workload pressure.
