Be a part of OKANA Resort & Indoor Water Park, where your career aspirations meet a world-class destination. #BMC-Okana What you will have an opportunity to do: SUMMARY The Assistant Food & Beverage Director supports the F&B Director as a key operational leader responsible for the day-to-day execution of the Resort's Food & Beverage operations. This role assists in overseeing financial performance, quality standards, and customer service across all F&B outlets, including 3 full-service restaurants, 9 free-standing food kiosks, banquet facilities serving 30,000 square feet of meeting space, and culinary operations covering both front and back of house areas. This position partners closely with the F&B Director to drive revenue, develop team members, and reinforce a service culture that consistently delivers outstanding guest experiences. Strong operational instincts and a working knowledge of financial reporting are essential to success in this role.QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or minimum 5 years of experience in food and beverage management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management capacity. Progressive career development across multiple Food & Beverage departments. Ability to interpret financial and operational data and support execution of the annual business plan. Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Excellent communication skills including the ability to read, write, and speak English. Working knowledge of employment laws applicable to the local area. Working knowledge of current Food & Beverage standards and concepts. Ability to train employees in alcohol intervention, food handling, and sanitation.PERFORMANCE STANDARDS CUSTOMER SERVICE
Support a guest-first culture throughout all F&B operations. Personally model a commitment to customer service by monitoring service quality and responding promptly to guest needs. Assist in resolving guest complaints quickly and professionally. Step in to support staff when needed to protect the guest experience. Ensure all team members, including new hires, are trained to meet established standards. Empower associates to deliver exceptional service by recognizing and rewarding responsive guest assistance.FINANCIAL
Assist the F&B Director in managing the department within budget. Support accurate forecasting of revenues and expenses. Monitor daily operational costs and flag discrepancies or trends to the F&B Director. Assist in analyzing financial and operating data to adjust labor, supplies, and other costs. Ensure department staff are trained in and consistently following control procedures as outlined by Internal Audit.PEOPLE:
Manage associates in alignment with Pyramid Global Hospitality's values, keeping associates at the center of every decision. Foster a servant leadership culture focused on partnering with and supporting all team members. Assist with HR functions including recruiting, onboarding, training, performance feedback, and recognition programs. Maintain a positive and cooperative work environment. Champion ongoing training and development as a daily practice. Support management talent development by mentoring supervisors and leads. Address employee concerns fairly and in a timely manner. Ensure team members clearly understand performance standards and how success is recognized. Support safety programming to protect both guests and employees in compliance with OSHA requirements.QUALITY:
Maintain a thorough working knowledge of department operations and how F&B integrates with other hotel departments. Proactively identify common operational challenges and resolve them before they impact the guest experience. Hold employees accountable to established restaurant and outlet standards. Support favorable health department scores through consistent training and monitoring. Assist in managing preventive maintenance for all equipment and controlling food-borne illness risks. Ensure compliance with all safety and sanitation standards including Emergency Plans and proper food storage protocols.MANAGING THE BUSINESS
Support execution of the F&B budget and assist in maximizing department resources. Help identify revenue opportunities and flag potential expense concerns to the F&B Director. Monitor vendor performance to ensure quality and competitive pricing. Adjust labor schedules, staff assignments, and supply orders based on business demand without sacrificing service quality. Partner with the F&B Director to keep repair and operational costs in check.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
