Job Description

Hotel Breakfast Attendant - Job Description The Hotel Breakfast Attendant is responsible for providing guests with a clean, welcoming, and well-stocked breakfast experience while delivering exceptional customer service. This position ensures the breakfast area is prepared before service, maintained throughout operating hours, and cleaned and sanitized after breakfast concludes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Set up the breakfast buffet with food, beverages, utensils, and serving equipment prior to opening. Prepare and replenish food and beverage items throughout breakfast service to maintain freshness and presentation. Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner and respond promptly to questions or special requests. Monitor food quality and temperatures to ensure compliance with health and food safety regulations. Keep the breakfast area, dining tables, beverage stations, and serving counters clean, organized, and fully stocked. Wash dishes, utensils, and food preparation equipment as needed. Dispose of trash and recycling, and maintain cleanliness in accordance with hotel and sanitation standards. Clean and sanitize the kitchen, breakfast area, and storage spaces after service. Monitor inventory levels and notify management when supplies need to be reordered. Follow all hotel policies, food handling procedures, and safety guidelines. Assist other hotel departments with light housekeeping or guest service duties when needed.
Qualifications:
Previous food service, hospitality, or customer service experience preferred but not required. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds. Reliable attendance and flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is preferred.
