Catering Chef Assistant 1130 Wallace Road NW, Salem, OR 97304 $15.55 - $22.85 an hour - Full-time $15.55 - $22.85 an hour - Full-time Roth's has 9 supermarkets in the Mid-Willamette valley with a continued focus on customer service. SUMMARY:
Contributes to the daily operation of the Catering Department; an individual motivated to work in a team environment dedicated to providing outstanding customer service.
WORK HOURS
Schedules and hours vary. Positions are likely to include evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Although we are interested in providing our employees with a stable work schedule, our ability to do so depends on our assessment of work needs and business conditions.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following but other duties may be assigned: Roth's Fresh Market employees create a pleasant in-store atmosphere and provide knowledgeable and prompt friendly service. Aid and support team members in all functions Demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of cooking discipline , including but not limited to prep, hot food and cold food production, vegetarian Prepare high quality food , with proper use of garnishes for ap attractive presentation Utilize basic math skills; accurately read/follow recipes and use scales Maintain and demonstrate familiarity with current menus an products, including seasonal items Ensure quality and quantity of foods meet high department a d store standards Control spoilage and waste Label products accurately Keep shelves and department clean, well-stocked and properly rotated Follow food safety, freshness and sanitation requirements Maintain a clean and safe work environment Ensure compliance with state, federal and store policies, cc des and procedures
QUALIFICATIONS
Ideal candidates will have experience working in a kitchen, the catering industry, or performing similar work. Pay rate dependent upon exerience and education. Must be 18 years or older and possess and maintain a valid driver's license and state food handler's license.
