THE POSITION

This role helps ensure that meals are prepared, delivered, and served with care at Selinsgrove Center. You will contribute to a positive environment where teamwork and service matter every day. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position supports meal production, serving, sanitation, and food storage across the department. Daily duties vary based on operational needs and help ensure safe, efficient food service throughout the facility. As a Food Service Worker 1, you will perform the following duties:
Food Preparation:
Prepare simple food items, wash produce, and gather supplies for meal production and special events
Tray Assembly:
Portion foods, read diet information, check tray accuracy, and load trays onto meal carts
Cleaning Tasks:
Clean equipment, sanitize work areas, follow schedules, and maintain safe sanitation practices
Storage Duties:
Organize food and non-food items, rotate supplies, label products, and store goods in refrigerators and freezers
Meal Delivery:
Move carts, load and unload racks, deliver items to designated areas, and return carts after service
Equipment Use:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
Full-time employment, 40 hours per week Work hours are 2nd shift (11:30 AM to 8:00 PM and 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM), on a rotating schedule, with every third weekend off and a 30-minute lunch.
