Duties Assist in food preparation and cooking for daily service, banquets, and special events, ensuring all dishes meet quality standards. Support menu planning by preparing ingredients and suggesting creative ideas to enhance meal presentation and flavor profiles. Maintain strict food safety and handling procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and cleanliness standards. Prepare and serve meals efficiently in both restaurant and catering settings, demonstrating excellent food service skills. Handle kitchen equipment safely, including knives and other culinary tools, to optimize food preparation processes. Collaborate with team members to coordinate meal timing, portion control, and presentation for a seamless dining experience. Assist with inventory management by organizing supplies, monitoring stock levels, and ensuring proper storage of ingredients. Requirements Prior experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is highly desirable. Proven culinary experience in fine dining or restaurant environments, with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and proper sanitation practices. Skilled in menu planning, meal preparation, and catering operations to support diverse service needs. Excellent knife skills and proficiency in various cooking methods essential for high-quality food production. Experience working in the food industry or kitchen environment is preferred; familiarity with serving guests is a plus.
