$15/hour.Summary:
The Kitchen Associate assists with meal preparation and serving; cleaning of dishes, utensil, equipment and pots and pans; cleans and organizes the kitchen, work areas, dining room, and serving areas.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides assistance with all dietary functions as directed in accordance with established department policies and procedures.
- Assists with preparing and serving meals following established food safety standards and guidelines.
- Serves meals in accordance with established portion and quality standards.
- Performs daily and/or scheduled cleaning tasks.
- Washes and sanitizes dishes, utensils and equipment according to established procedures and return to storage areas.
- Disposes of food and waste in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
- Assists with maintaining the cleanliness and organization of food service work areas, dish room and storage areas.
- Sweeps and mops floors as assigned.
- Restocks food, beverages and supplies for meal service.
- Assists in the receiving, rotating and storage of food and supplies.
- Provides excellent customer service to clients.
- Reports any issues or problems that may arise to the Dining Services Manager or Supervisor.
- Promptly reports workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses.
- Assists with Cook responsibilities as assigned.
- Completes required trainings and mandatory training hours
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Supervisory Responsibilities None Required Qualifications Licensure, Education & Experience
- Previous food service experience preferred.
- Serv-Safe certification or be willing to obtain upon hire.
- Ability to read and write, understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work.
- Good communication skills and ability to effectively interact with others.
- Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to handle a crisis or risk situation and react appropriately.
