Purpose and Distinguishing Characteristics:
Incumbents prepare regular and special meals for clients and staff in an institutional setting. You will be a key player in ensuring high-quality food is served safely and efficiently. A Food Handler's permit is required for this position.Example of Tasks:
Ensure food is maintained at appropriate temperatures, covering and storing leftovers, and recording serving temperatures and quantities. Prepare salads, garnishes, and assist in basic food preparation or ordering. Cook, bake, or serve regular and/or special meals to clients and staff. Coordinate an inventory management system to effectively control and distribute supplies and equipment. Clean, sterilize, and disinfect areas and equipment. Assist customers in finding products, making selections, and purchasing items.Qualifications Qualifications:

Assessing performance of yourself, other individuals, or organizations to make improvements or take corrective action.Supplemental Information:
Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc. Work requires physical exertion. May require the ability to stand; walk over rough surfaces; bend, crouch, stoop, stretch, reach, lift moderately heavy items (up to 50 lbs.) in a recurring manner and/or for long periods of time.
