JJYS Food Service Worker II

  • 7/3/2026 Key Responsibilities Cooks, bakes, or serves regular and/or special meals to clients and/or staff.
Ensures that food is maintained at appropriate temperatures. Prepares salads and garnishes and assists in basic food preparation or ordering. Distributes food using appropriate food handling and sanitation techniques Practices of food safety and public health protection Coordinates an inventory management system to effectively control and distribute supplies and equipment. Tracks receipts Destroys or disposed of outdated, sensitive documents, blank warrants, expired food stamps, etc., in a manner appropriate for the sensitivity. Cleans, sterilizes and or disinfects areas and/or equipment. Uses cleaning agents, products and equipment Qualifications The Ideal Candidate A motivated individual who enjoys cooking, following recipes and providing nutritious food to our youth. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences.
