As an Express Start™ Breakfast Attendant, you are responsible for delivering a consistent, brand-standard breakfast experience aligned with IHG expectations and operational standards. This role ensures the Express Start™ breakfast bar is fully stocked, fresh, clean, and presented according to brand schematics. You will maintain strict food safety compliance, execute required logs and procedures, and create a welcoming environment for guests from setup through breakdown. Key ResponsibilitiesExpress Start™ Brand Execution Set up, maintain, and break down the Express Start™ Breakfast Bar according to brand standards and required schematics. Prepare and replenish approved hot and cold items including eggs, breakfast meats, pancakes, cereals, bakery items, fruit, yogurt, juices, and coffee. Ensure all food remains within required temperature ranges and complete temperature logs accurately. Follow proper product rotation procedures (FIFO). Maintain consistent presentation and portioning standards. Cleanliness & Food Safety Complete required temperature logs, cleaning checklists, and food safety documentation daily. Maintain a clean and organized breakfast area, including tables, counters, beverage stations, and back-of-house prep areas. Adhere to IHG Way of Clean standards and all local health department regulations. Properly label, date, store, and discard food items according to policy. Guest Experience Greet guests professionally and offer assistance proactively. Monitor breakfast flow during peak periods and anticipate replenishment needs. Respond to guest questions accurately regarding menu items and dietary information. Support overall guest satisfaction and property service metrics. Operational Support Monitor inventory levels and notify management of low-stock items. Assist with deliveries and ensure proper storage of food and supplies. Support group breakfast needs or extended service times when required. Maintain organization and cleanliness of all breakfast equipment and storage areas. Qualifications Previous food service or hospitality experience preferred. Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and temperature control standards. Ability to work independently during early morning shifts. Strong attention to detail and time management skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds. Professional demeanor and commitment to brand standards. Performance Standards Breakfast is prepared and presented in full compliance with brand standards. All required logs and documentation are completed accurately and on time. The breakfast area consistently meets cleanliness expectations. Guests experience a smooth, efficient, and welcoming start to their day. This role is critical to delivering the consistent, dependable breakfast experience guests expect from Holiday Inn Express.
