Powder Haven, Powder Mountain's exclusive private resort community is seeking a guest focused, fine dining experienced leader to aid in the management of our front of house staff in Skylodge and Powder Landing locations. Skylodge is an elevated, fast paced, open-kitchen style Restaurant that offers multiple unique seasonal menus for the member community at Powder. The restaurant offers eclectic culinary events frequently throughout the year with emphasis on multiple styles of cuisine to keep our guests intrigued and delighted. This position is a crucial role in enhancing our dining experience by overseeing training and the seamless implementation of elevated operational standards. This is a leadership role that will ensure the consistency of the supreme guest dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the F&B team to define training objectives, coordinate educational programs, and implement innovative systems. Assist with the introduction of new training methods and standards, ensuring they align with Powder Haven's organizational and operational goals. Supervise daily operations of Skylodge/Powder Landing, and its adjacent F&B outlets, maintaining top-tier service quality. Coordinate training sessions on guest service excellence, product knowledge, and operational efficiency. Utilize the Jolt platform for effective management and oversight of training initiatives and performance metrics. Assess team members for effectiveness of training and adjust programs to enhance guest dining experience. Guide and mentor staff, providing continuous feedback to aid in their professional development. Assist the Manager with team member scheduling, interviewing, and onboarding of team members. Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to service quality, team productivity, and guest satisfaction. Stay abreast of industry trends to continuously refine training and operational strategies. Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in restaurants, with a preference for those skilled in elevated or fine dining. Proficient knowledge of beer, wine, and spirits, and pairing recommendations. Solid culinary understanding pertaining to food preparation and sourcing of proteins, and ingredients. Willingness and availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, and be present for the demands of the ski season. Previous experience in a front-of-house restaurant leadership role. Commitment to exceptional guest service and maintaining a clean and orderly dining facility. Ability to be at work on time in inclement weather. Use of UTA or personal 4-wheel drive vehicle required. Capable of lifting and carrying items up to 30 pounds, with frequent stooping, bending, and walking in varying weather conditions. Must be able to remain on feet for extended periods, perform tasks in close proximity to others, and handle the pressure of a fast-paced environment. Exposure to typical restaurant hazards, including noise, heat, and kitchen equipment, as well as outdoor climate variations.
