Job Summary The Breakfast Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring a delightful morning experience for guests. This position involves preparing and serving breakfast items, maintaining cleanliness in the dining area, and providing exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for hospitality and a keen attention to detail, contributing to an inviting atmosphere for all guests. Duties Prepare and set up breakfast items, including hot and cold dishes, beverages, and condiments. Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast area, including tables, countertops, and equipment. Assist guests with their breakfast selections and provide information about menu items. Ensure food safety standards are met during food preparation and service. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including coffee machines and toasters. Perform bussing duties by clearing tables promptly after guests have finished their meals. Handle cash transactions accurately if required, utilizing POS systems such as Aloha or Micros. Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Address guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and courtesy to enhance guest relations. Assist in inventory management by monitoring food supplies and reporting shortages. Qualifications Previous kitchen experience or food service background preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and safety standards. Experience with POS systems (Aloha or Micros) is an asset. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests. Experience in hospitality settings such as hotels or restaurants is desirable. Knowledge of cleaning practices related to food service areas. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Culinary skills including cooking, meal preparation, knife skills, and meat cutting are advantageous. Barista experience or coffee knowledge is a plus for beverage preparation. Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
