Under the direction of the Director of Dining Services, Assistant Director or Chef, the dining services assistant performs a variety of specialized or general functions in the Dining Services Department. Responsibilities may include but are not limited to any of the following duties and functions: Dishwasher - Retirement Community Responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, dishes, and dining areas within a senior living community. Operates dishwashing equipment, ensures proper storage of clean items, and assists with basic kitchen tasks as needed. Upholds all food safety and health regulations while supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment for residents and staff. Must be dependable, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced setting with a team-oriented attitude.
III. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A.
Minimal Education:
1. High school diploma preferred. B.
Minimal Experience:
1. Six months food service/kitchen experience in a hospital, institutional or restaurant setting preferred. 2. Experience in long term care or health care is preferred 3.
