The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in meal preparation, ensuring that every dish meets our restaurant's standards for taste and presentation. Your ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards. Ensure all food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed in the kitchen. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping vegetables, marinating meats, and measuring spices. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, including utensils and equipment. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely meal preparation and service. Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs to the kitchen manager. Support other kitchen staff as needed, including assisting with training new team members. Requirements Proven experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role within a restaurant or culinary setting. Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food safety practices, and kitchen operations. Proficiency with kitchen tools, including knives and cooking equipment. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team. A passion for meal preparation and creating delicious dishes that exceed customer expectations. Previous experience in a dietary department or as a dietary aide is a plus but not required.
