Job Description

Ready to lead beyond a single cafe?

Grand Central Bakery is seeking an experienced hospitality leader to support operations across our Seattle-area cafes, including Wedgwood, Eastlake, Wallingford, and Burien.
Pay:
$23.40/hour plus tipsTips average $9 - $11 per hourComprehensive benefits package for full-time employees, including medical/dental/vision/401k match and more.
Schedule:
Full-time (five shifts per week), regular days off are Sunday and Monday. Flexibility to work opening, mid, and closing shifts as business needs require.

This position offers the opportunity to work alongside multiple Cafe Managers, learn from high-performing teams, and gain broad operational experience across the Seattle market. You'll develop the skills, relationships, and business acumen that contribute to long-term leadership success at Grand Central Bakery. While future leadership opportunities are never guaranteed, this role is designed to provide the exposure, experience, and development needed to prepare exceptional leaders for greater responsibility.

This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across multiple locations while developing the operational, financial, and people leadership skills needed to lead a successful cafe business. You'll partner with Cafe Managers, support and develop teams, learn best practices across the market, and gain exposure to the key metrics that drive performance.

What You'll DoLead and support teams across multiple Seattle-area cafes.

Partner with Cafe Managers to drive operational excellence and business results.

Coach, develop, and inspire team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Learn every cafe position, system, and operational process.

Analyze cafe performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve results.

Share best practices and support operational consistency across locations.

Independently lead cafe operations when needed.

Travel between Seattle-area cafes to support staffing, training, and business priorities.

What We're Looking ForPrevious management experience in a cafe, restaurant, coffee shop, or hospitality environment.

Strong leadership, coaching, and team development skills.

A flexible and adaptable approach to working in multiple locations.

Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

A passion for hospitality, customer service, and operational excellence.

Ability to build relationships and positively influence teams.

Availability to work a variety of shifts and travel between Seattle-area locations as needed.

This position is represented by United Food and Commercial Workers union (UFCW 3000) and is subject to terms of the Grand Central Bakery and

collective bargaining agreement.
