Role Overview:
The Food Service Worker will report to the Site Director. The Food Service Worker will be responsible for assisting in all kitchen operations for RPS including receiving prepared product from the Vendor, portioning and plating, maintaining a clean kitchen area, and setting out snacks as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to culinary standards and regulations and that all product goes out in a timely manner at the required temperature. Receiving the prepared meals from the Dietary Food Vendor (OSL) Portioning the individual food items and plating them, via guidance by the Site Director. Delivering them to the two Program services, who will then distribute them to the RPS Clients. Set out snacks as directed. Respond to guest inquiries and concerns. Maintain effective vendor relationships. Track, record and replenish all food and inventory as needed. Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness. Assist in maintaining the highest possible rating from the Health Department. Assists in the assurance of consistent food qualities and quantities in both presentation Report and document hazardous conditions or unsafe practices within the work environment Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management. Experience working in a professional kitchen. Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, and holidays. Must be able to work in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word. High level of attention to detail and organization Ability to obtain a Food Handler Permit. Pass required background checks. Why Join Us?
