403 B Retirement Plan - 5% salary investment from employer 7 or 8 paid holidays per fiscal year (Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, MLK Day, Easter Monday, Memorial Day; Veteran's Day when applicable) 25 hours paid sick leave per fiscal year 15 hours paid personal leave per fiscal year (does not carry over) 15 hours paid bereavement leave per fiscal year (does not carry over) Position Overview The Cafeteria Staff member assists the Cafeteria Manager in the daily operation of the school cafeteria. This position supports meal preparation and service, maintains cleanliness and sanitation standards, and helps provide a safe, organized, and welcoming dining experience for students and staff. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with receiving, organizing, and preparing meals delivered by the outside food vendor. Set up serving lines, utensils, beverages, condiments, and food stations. Serve lunches to students and staff in an efficient and friendly manner. Help maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen, serving areas, tables, equipment, and storage spaces, and perform deep cleaning of the cafeteria and kitchen on faculty/staff workdays and as needed. Wash dishes, trays, utensils, and kitchen equipment as assigned. Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and school safety procedures. Assist with monitoring food temperatures and proper storage practices. Restock supplies and notify the Cafeteria Manager when items are running low. Address student needs and help foster a positive cafeteria environment. Support special events or school functions involving food service when needed. Perform additional duties assigned by the Cafeteria Manager or administration. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Previous food service or cafeteria experience preferred but not required Valid WV Food Handler's Card Person in Charge Kitchen Certification CPR/First Aid Certification Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds Must complete all required Diocesan/school safe environment clearances and trainings Preferred Characteristics Friendly and positive attitude with children and staff Ability to work cooperatively with staff and students Dependable and willing to assist where needed Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Supportive of the mission and values of the Catholic school community.
