Job Description

Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Sheridan is seeking a friendly, dependable, and hardworking Breakfast Attendant to prepare and maintain our complimentary guest breakfast. Breakfast opens at 6:00 a.m. , so this position requires reliable early-morning availability. The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for completing setup before opening, keeping food and beverages stocked throughout service, maintaining a clean breakfast area, and providing welcoming service to every guest. Primary Responsibilities Arrive on time and have the breakfast area fully prepared for the 6:00 a.m. opening. Coordinate with the Night Auditor regarding preparation completed before the shift. Prepare, heat, and serve approved breakfast items according to hotel and IHG standards. Set up food stations, beverages, coffee, utensils, plates, napkins, and condiments. Keep all breakfast items fresh, presentable, and properly stocked throughout service. Monitor food levels and replenish items before they run out. Brew and replenish coffee and maintain the beverage station. Check, record, and maintain required food temperatures. Follow food-safety, sanitation, handwashing, and cross-contamination procedures. Greet guests warmly and assist with breakfast-related questions or requests. Keep tables, counters, food stations, floors, and the surrounding area clean. Remove trash and maintain clean, properly lined trash containers. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, trays, and breakfast equipment. Clean and sanitize the breakfast area following the end of service. Properly label, date, rotate, store, or discard food according to hotel procedures. Track inventory and notify management when food, beverages, or supplies need to be ordered. Report damaged or malfunctioning equipment immediately. Help maintain the cleanliness of the lobby and other nearby public areas when needed. Follow all hotel safety, security, and guest-service standards. Qualifications Previous breakfast, restaurant, kitchen, hotel, or food-service experience is preferred but not required. Food-safety knowledge is preferred; training will be provided. Friendly and professional attitude toward guests and coworkers. Strong attention to cleanliness, organization, and food presentation. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Must be comfortable beginning work early in the morning. Must be available to work weekends and holidays when scheduled. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift. Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, and perform repetitive tasks. Ability to lift and carry approximately 25-30 pounds. Ability to safely handle food, hot equipment, cleaning products, and breakfast supplies.
