In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, packaging, and displaying meat products while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and cleanliness. Responsibilities Prepare and cut meat products using proper knife skills and meat cutting techniques to meet customer specifications. Package meat items efficiently while maintaining freshness and adhering to food safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the meat department, including equipment and work surfaces, following all food safety regulations. Provide excellent customer service by answering questions about meat cuts, cooking tips, and product availability with enthusiasm and professionalism. Restock shelves with fresh meat products, ensuring attractive displays that highlight quality and variety. Follow all food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations. Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels, rotating products appropriately, and notifying management of low supplies or quality issues. Experience Previous experience in food production or food preparation is highly desirable. Kitchen experience or culinary background provides a strong foundation for meat cutting and food handling tasks. Familiarity with the food industry standards related to safety, sanitation, and product presentation is preferred. Experience working in a restaurant or retail environment enhances your ability to deliver exceptional customer service. Possession of knife skills or specialized training in meat cutting is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided if necessary.
