Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Meat Wrapper to join our Meat Department. This role is responsible for packaging, labeling, pricing, stocking, and displaying fresh meat products while maintaining quality, food safety, and customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Package, wrap, seal, label, and price meat products, including beef, pork, and poultry. Stock and maintain meat displays, rotate products, and monitor freshness and expiration dates. Ensure products meet company standards for quality, presentation, and food safety. Assist customers with product selection and answer questions regarding meat products. Maintain clean, organized work areas, coolers, and display cases. Remove damaged, expired, or unsellable products following company procedures. Support department operations and work collaboratively with team members. Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Previous grocery, retail, food service, or meat department experience is preferred but not required. Willingness to learn meat cuts, department procedures, and food safety standards through on-the-job training. Strong attention to detail, customer service skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed Must be 18 years of age
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift. Ability to work in multi temperature environments.
