Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Slaughterhouse Manager to lead and oversee all operations within our meat processing facility. This pivotal role combines leadership, technical expertise, and a passion for food safety to ensure efficient, compliant, and high-quality meat production. As the Slaughterhouse Manager, you will coordinate daily workflows, uphold strict sanitation and safety standards, and foster a team-oriented environment that emphasizes continuous improvement and adherence to industry regulations. Your expertise will help deliver premium products while maintaining a safe and productive workplace. Duties Oversee the entire slaughtering process, ensuring compliance with OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) protocols to guarantee food safety and worker safety. Manage sanitation procedures throughout the facility, ensuring all areas meet strict cleanliness standards in accordance with industry regulations. Supervise meat cutting, packaging, and processing activities, ensuring precision, efficiency, and quality control. Coordinate daily staffing schedules, assign tasks to team members, and monitor performance to optimize productivity. Maintain mechanical knowledge of equipment used in meat processing plants to troubleshoot issues promptly and minimize downtime. Enforce safety policies related to knife skills, machinery operation, and food handling to prevent accidents or contamination. Ensure compliance with all food industry regulations related to food safety, sanitation, and manufacturing practices. Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing workflow processes and implementing best practices for efficiency and quality. Experience Proven experience managing operations within a food processing plant or meat slaughterhouse environment. Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, sanitation standards, HACCP principles, and food safety protocols. Hands-on experience with meat cutting techniques and knife skills essential for quality product preparation. Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in manufacturing equipment used in food production settings. Background in food industry manufacturing or processing roles with an emphasis on safety and quality assurance. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise teams effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent understanding of packaging processes relevant to meat products and food processing plants.
