This energetic position involves preparing, cutting, and packaging fresh meats with precision and care, ensuring food safety standards are met. You'll engage directly with customers, helping them select the best products while maintaining a clean, organized work environment. Duties Prepare and cut meats using proper knife skills and meat cutting techniques to ensure quality and presentation. Package meat products efficiently while maintaining freshness and adhering to food safety guidelines. Assist customers at the counter by providing product knowledge, answering questions, and offering friendly service. Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and display areas in compliance with health regulations. Restock displays regularly to ensure availability of fresh meat products and attractive presentation. Follow all food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure safe food practices. Support inventory management by receiving deliveries, verifying orders, and organizing stock. Experience Previous experience in food production, meat cutting, or kitchen environments is highly preferred. Familiarity with food preparation techniques and food safety standards within the food industry. Hands-on experience with knife skills, meat cutting, packaging, and food handling is essential. Restaurant or culinary experience that demonstrates attention to detail and customer service skills is a plus. Knowledge of food industry regulations and best practices for maintaining hygiene standards. Strong communication skills to assist customers effectively and work collaboratively with team members. Ability to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
