Meat Cutter & Wrapper

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Meat Cutter/Packager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production and a strong understanding of meat cutting techniques. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and presentation of our meat products. This position requires attention to detail, proficiency with knives, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety. Responsibilities Package, wrap and sticker various types of meat. Knowledge of different meat cuts are a plus. Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to specifications. Ensure all meat products are properly packaged and labeled. Maintain cleanliness and organization in the meat preparation area. Adhere to food safety regulations and sanitation practices at all times. Mechanical aptitude for running a packaging machine. Must be able to work both independently and as a team. A good attitude towards continuous improvements of food safety systems. Strong attention to detail. Excellent attendance. The desire and ability to follow general food safety practices (GMPs, HACCP, and SQF system) Able to learn meat cutting knife skills as well as tenderizers, grinders, and other meat processing equipment (previous experience a plus!) Basic knowledge of math, weights, and measurements. Must be able to identify different meat cuts or be able to learn. Experience Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in food production or as a butcher is preferred. Strong knife skills and familiarity with various cutting techniques. Knowledge of food preparation standards and safety regulations is essential.
