Meat Cutters / Butchers & Slaughter Personnel Big Sky Processing is hiring for our USDA-inspected and custom slaughter and meat processing facility. We are looking to add skilled and dependable team members with experience in meat cutting and slaughter operations.
What You'll Do:
Perform USDA and custom livestock slaughter and processing Break down and cut beef and other livestock into custom and retail cuts Trim, portion, and prepare meat products according to specifications Maintain strict food safety, sanitation, and USDA compliance standards Work in a fast-paced, hands-on processing plant environment Follow all plant procedures and quality standards
What We're Looking For:
Experience in meat cutting, butchering, or slaughter preferred Prior work in a meat processing plant or butcher shop strongly preferred Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation practices Ability to perform physical, demanding work in a processing environment Reliable, hardworking, and team-oriented mindset Familiarity with meat cutting/processing is preferred, along with a strong willingness to learn and develop within the trade
Pay:
$17 - $30/hour depending on experience and skill level
Work Environment:
USDA-inspected and custom slaughter and meat processing facility serving customers Housing may be available (case by case basis)
Work Schedule:
Full-time and part-time opportunities available
