Job Description
Overview We are seeking an experienced and reliable Butcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of meat cutting, preparation, merchandising, and customer service. Responsibilities Carefully cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to established specifications and quality standards Ensure all meat handling practices adhere to food safety regulations and hygiene protocols Package meat products efficiently for retail display or wholesale distribution, maintaining freshness and presentation Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable advice on cuts and cooking methods to enhance their experience Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools, and equipment to uphold sanitation standards Collaborate with team members to manage inventory levels, restock displays, and organize storage areas Follow all safety procedures during knife work and meat processing to prevent accidents or contamination Requirements Knowledge of meat cutting techniques and food handling safety regulations Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members Ability to stand for extended periods while performing precise cutting and preparation tasks Commitment to maintaining high levels of cleanliness, safety, and quality control throughout all duties
