Full Job Description Job Summary:
Summit Fine Meats is a family-owned butcher shop serving the Anderson Township community for over 40 years. We are looking for a customer service focused individual who is interested in working in a fast-paced, fun, and unique work environment. If you enjoy working with food, people and take pride in always delivering the highest quality product while having a positive attitude we want to talk to you. The ideal candidate must be at least 18 years old. Handling meat and working cash register. Knowledge is a plus but willingness to learn is a must. This is an entry level position.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide a high level of customer service. Must be willing to learn about products so that they can answer customer questions. Must be willing to learn how to use a commercial meat grinder and other equipment necessary to perform the job. Will be taught to operate deli slicers to fulfill customer orders. Maybe asked to use knives to cut chicken and other retail cuts from fresh case. Maintain proper case and display conditions, including cleaning, stocking, straightening and rotation. Maintain proper sanitary conditions, including cleaning and sanitizing of all work surfaces, utensils and equipment. Control quality of product to conform to company standards. Must dress according to company policy and maintain a neat, clean appearance always. Perform all other duties as assigned by management. The schedule for this position is Friday - Monday. Off Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Looking at 32 hours per week.
