Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Meat Cutter & Wrapper Associate, where you'll play a vital role in delivering high-quality meat products and exceptional customer service. This position has an opportunity for growth within the department to the right candidate. Our current Meat Manager will be retiring in about a year so if you are reliable and have a passion for quality and great customer service, this is the perfect opportunity to showcase why you think you could run the Meat Department in the future. Duties Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meat according to established standards using proper knife skills and techniques Wrap and package meat products securely for display or customer purchase, ensuring freshness and safety Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, tools, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations Assist customers by providing knowledgeable guidance on meat selections, cuts, and preparation tips Rotate stock to ensure older products are sold first, reducing waste and maintaining product quality Follow all food handling procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations Support inventory management by receiving deliveries, checking for quality, and organizing stock efficiently Skills Proven experience in food production, food preparation or kitchen environments with a focus on meat cutting or culinary tasks Strong knife skills and familiarity with meat cutting techniques to produce precise cuts efficiently Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures to ensure product integrity Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and assist shoppers confidently Experience with packaging methods suitable for retail or wholesale meat products Background in the food industry or restaurant experience that demonstrates familiarity with high-volume food operations Ability to work quickly while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced setting Join us as a Meat Cutter & Wrapper Associate to bring your culinary expertise to life!
