Butcher/Slaughter

Job Summary Butcher/Slaughter team member is someone who will help with the butchering and slaughtering of animals. Your job will include tasks like cleaning/skinning animals, cutting meat, and running butcher shop equipment like a meat grinder and stuffer. You will work directly with and under the team leader.

Responsibilities Slaughter:

Follow humane and safe principles and HACCP plan guidelines to handle, stun, and slaughter livestock. Responsible for accurately weighing and recording carcass weight. Responsible for safe handling of knives and other equipment. Order Interpretation And Communication Clear communication with other team members and owners. Equipment Expertise Safely operate meat room equipment with proficiency and precision to ensure accurate customer cut instructions. Regularly inspect and maintain equipment to ensure optimal function and safety. Clean cutting room/ slaughter room meticulously according to inspection standards. Safety Practice safe handling of all tools and equipment in cutting room and slaughter room. Maintain an organized work space to avoid accidents. Qualifications Must be reliable, show up on time, and be able to work quickly and efficiently. Must be able to work with other team members. Must be able to work on your feet for an extended period of time. Must be able to pass background check. Must be able to repeatedly lift 60 plus pounds.
