Your expertise in food preparation, knife skills, and culinary techniques will ensure every plate meets the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary artistry in a fast-paced, fine dining environment where attention to detail and passion for Japanese cuisine are celebrated. Duties Prepare and assemble a variety of sushi dishes with precision and artistry, ensuring consistency in flavor and presentation Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in all aspects of food handling and preparation Develop innovative menu items that reflect authentic Japanese flavors while catering to guest preferences Manage ingredient inventory, ensure proper storage, and minimize waste through efficient food handling practices Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and ensure timely service during busy periods Uphold restaurant standards by maintaining a clean workstation, adhering to safety protocols, and following health regulations Assist in catering events or special functions by preparing sushi platters and other Japanese cuisine offerings Skills Extensive culinary experience with a focus on sushi preparation and Japanese cuisine Strong knife skills and proficiency in various food preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures Experience in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and portion control Background in fine dining or upscale restaurant environments is highly desirable Excellent food service skills with a keen eye for detail and presentation Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is a plus but not required Join us to bring your sushi expertise to life in a dynamic setting where your skills will shine!
