We're expanding our food program to complement our espresso, craft beer, and event offerings. Our goal is to transform a small, non-traditional pantry into thoughtful, elevated food options that enhance the guest experience. The Role We're looking for a part-time culinary professional (or contractor) with a passion for creative menu development and the ability to work within a limited kitchen setup (no full commercial line). This position will lead the creation, testing, and implementation of small-format menu items that balance quality, flavor, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Develop a rotating menu of high-impact small bites, shareables, and café-friendly plates using minimal equipment. Source and manage ingredients to maximize a small pantry while staying cost-conscious. Create recipes, prep systems, and presentation guidelines that staff can easily follow. Collaborate with ownership to align food concepts with the Rose Garden brand, events, and seasonal programming. Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and organization. What We're Looking For Culinary or food-service experience with a strong creative streak . Comfort working without a traditional kitchen—resourceful, efficient, and inventive. Knowledge of cost control, portioning, and scaling recipes for a café/bar environment. Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit. Schedule & Compensation Part-time or contract (flexible hours based on development/testing and event needs).
Pay range:
$16-$18/hr or project-based (commensurate with experience). Opportunities to grow with the business as the food program expands.
