This role oversees resident dining, food production, menu development, purchasing, food safety, and culinary team leadership, with catering and special events support as needed. Key Responsibilities Lead daily resident dining and high-volume culinary operations. Manage, coach, and develop a culinary team of approximately 15-20 employees. Develop menus and maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency. Oversee purchasing, procurement, inventory, and food costs. Maintain compliance with ServSafe, HACCP, sanitation, and food safety standards . Support catering, special events, and campus dining activities. Improve kitchen processes, productivity, and operational consistency. Manage staffing, training, performance, and team development. Build strong relationships with clients, vendors, and internal teams. Required Qualifications Extensive culinary experience in a high-volume foodservice environment . 1-3+ years of culinary management or supervisory experience. 1-3+ years of related culinary or foodservice experience. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts, Hospitality, Food Service Management, or related field; equivalent experience considered. ServSafe certification and working knowledge of HACCP. Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work one weekend day per week . Preferred Qualifications Campus, college, university, or institutional dining experience. Experience with catering and special events. Experience leading a team of 15+ culinary employees. Experience with diverse cuisines and current culinary trends. Schedule Seven-day operation. The schedule will be either Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday , with one weekend day required. Dinner service generally ends around 7:30 PM. Compensation & Benefits Up to $110,000/year , based on qualifications. Medical, dental, and vision coverage. 401(k) with matching contributions.
