We are seeking a skilled and passionate pastry cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a love for baking, cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, high-pressure kitchen environment. As a pastry cook you will play an integral role in preparing, baking, and presenting high-quality desserts and baked goods in accordance with the standards we have in our establishment. This role requires creativity, precision, and consistency, as well as a strong understanding of classic and contemporary pastry techniques. The Pastry Cook works closely with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to execute plated desserts, pastries, breads, and specialty items that align with the restaurant's culinary vision and elevate the guest experience.Responsibilities:
Prepare and plate desserts, pastries, and breads in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards. Assist in the development of seasonal dessert offerings and daily specials. Ensure proper storage, handling, and labeling of all ingredients and finished products. Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines. Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient station at all times. Support inventory management, ordering, and product rotation as needed. Communicate and collaborate with front- and back-of-house team members to ensure seamless service.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years of experience in a professional pastry or baking role (fine dining or upscale environment preferred). Strong working knowledge of classic and contemporary pastry techniques, including doughs, mousses, custards, sauces, and plated dessert composition. Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure, team-oriented kitchen. Flexible schedule availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Positive attitude and eagerness to learn, contribute, and grow.Benefits:
