- Sushi Chefs!! Octopus Japanese Restaurant in Burbank, California is looking for a few great Sushi Chefs to carry on our tradition of service! Sushi Chefs earn anywhere from $20.00 to $22.00 per hour and can earn on average about $750.00 (estmated) in tips per week. Don't miss this great opportunity! Sushi Chefs are also responsible for: Prepares nigiri sushi, creative rolls, sashimi and other sushi related dishes in accordance with customer orders and requests. Follows pre-set menu for preparation. Directly serves customers sitting at the sushi bar. Motivates and coaches other members of the sushi team. Sets up sushi stations. Cleans up and maintains sushi stations. May show other sushi chefs cutting and plating techniques.
