Job Description
Overview We are seeking a reliable and skilled Sushi Chef. The ideal candidate would have experience in Japanese cuisine and a strong commitment to food safety and quality. As a Sushi Chef, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience by preparing high-quality sushi dishes that meet our standards for taste and presentation. Duties Prepare and present sushi dishes with precision and creativity, ensuring high standards of taste and presentation. Utilize knife skills to slice fish and vegetables accurately, maintaining consistency in portion sizes. Must have current California's food handlers card. Ensure all food handling practices comply with food safety regulations, including proper storage, preparation, and sanitation. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the sushi station, including equipment and utensils. Qualifications Proven experience as a Sushi Chef or in a similar role within the food industry, particularly in fine dining or catering environments. Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations. Excellent knife skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality dishes. Culinary degree Not necessary as we honor experience and the ability to learn our menu.
