Responsibilities Prepare a variety of sushi, sashimi, and other Japanese dishes with accuracy and flair Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in the kitchen Develop innovative sushi recipes that delight customers and reflect current culinary trends Manage ingredient inventory, ensure freshness, and minimize waste through efficient stock control Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations and timely service Educate junior staff on sushi techniques, presentation, and safety protocols Assist in creating visually appealing plating arrangements that enhance the dining experience Skills Extensive knowledge of sushi preparation techniques, including knife skills and fish handling Strong understanding of food safety standards and sanitation practices Experience in curriculum development for culinary training or workshops is a plus Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment Excellent communication skills for teamwork and customer interaction Culinary experience with a focus on Japanese cuisine or similar Asian culinary styles Demonstrated classroom management or teaching experience related to cooking or food arts Creativity in recipe development and presentation skills, including photography for menu visuals Knowledge of childhood development or early childhood education is beneficial for training junior staff or interns Experience working with children or in childcare settings can enhance team dynamics Background in theater or performing arts can contribute to engaging food presentation techniques Skills in sewing or crafting may assist with kitchen organization or utensil maintenance Join us as a Sushi Chef and become part of a lively culinary environment where your skills will shine!
